So It ends up that a few readers from the last article informed me that the Plank theme for the elementaryOS does not look like how it does in the screen caps of the previous article.  This is how you can fix it.

Open a terminal, and type in this, or copy-paste.

cp -r ~/.config/plank/theme ~/.config/plank/theme_backup

ln -sf /usr/share/plank/themes/Pantheon/* ~/.config/plank/theme

This *should* set the plank theme to the Pantheon default skin.  Sorry for the lack of information on this
